About Us:
Cara Rince, meaning “friend of dance,” is the non-profit parent booster group of the Murray Academy of Irish Dance, located in Exeter. We celebrate and promote the spirit and culture of Irish Step Dancing through programs and activities that directly benefit Irish dancers of all levels, as well as the community at large.
Each year, Cara Rince hosts The Murray Academy Feis. A feis(“fesh”) is an Irish dance competition and comes from the Gaelic word meaning festival. This competition brings together dancers from all over New England, as well as neighboring states, to share their love of Irish dancing. Proceeds raised from The Murray Academy Feis directly benefit our dancers in many ways including helping to offset the travel costs to the North American and World Irish Dance Championships, where they represent our school and the NH community. This year, we are hosting a double feis weekend, taking place at the Cooperative Middle School in Stratham, NH on May 25th & 26th.
We are seeking community sponsorships to help us defray the cost of running this large event. Some of these costs include purchasing building materials for stages, renting a large venue, hosting judges from around the country and providing awards for placements at multiple levels of competition. Please consider sponsoring The Murray Academy Feis as we have a variety of levels available. Any involvement would be tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3). This event is a great way to engage in the community and promote your business, with over 1,000 people in attendance throughout the day.
If you have any questions about becoming a sponsor, please feel free to contact us. Our deadline for sponsorship submissions will be May 15th in order to prepare marketing materials. We appreciate you taking the time to consider being a part of this event.
